Pain: Our Silent Ally in the Journey of Life

In the realm of human experiences, pain often takes center stage as a villain, a force to be avoided at all costs. But what if we were to shift our perspective and recognize pain for what it truly is: our silent ally in the journey of life? Enter the world of anhidrosis, a rare genetic disorder that strips individuals of their ability to feel pain. At first glance, the absence of pain may seem like a welcomed reprieve from life's trials. Yet, delve deeper, and a stark reality emerges—one where the absence of pain becomes a perilous predicament. Picture yourself stepping into a scalding hot shower, oblivious to the searing heat until your skin reddens and blisters. Or worse still, imagine not realizing a bone is broken until it breaks through your skin. For those with anhidrosis, these scenarios are not just hypothetical—they are daily realities. In a world without pain, everyday activities become minefields of potential danger. Each step, each movement, carries with it the risk of ...

Trust Fate

Waking up early today morning, I geared up for my gym session. Before leaving, my wife reminded me to take the keys along, just in case she was in the bathroom when I returned. With the keys in hand, I set out for my morning workout routine, unaware of the role they would play later that day. As I rode my motorbike home from the gym, I felt the familiar buzz of my phone in my pocket. Ignoring the call, I tucked the device underneath the seat, between my groin and the leather cushion, focused solely on reaching home. Arriving at my new apartment complex, I parked my bike in the basement parking lot and made my way upstairs. But as I tried to unlock the gate with my key, frustration set in. Why hadn’t my wife left the latch open if she knew I was coming home? In a parallel scenario, had I not taken the keys as advised by my wife, I might have found myself waiting impatiently at the gate, unaware that my wife was inside, ready to quickly unlock it upon my arrival. Reaching for my iPhone 1...

My Sunday Workout Temple - Sarita Udhyan, Gandhinagar

In my personal opinion Sarita Udhyan is one of the best public garden in Gandhinagar. It is located near Circuit House Gandhinagar.  This garden offers me serenity. I get ample space for doing my freehand exercises and Yogic exercises basking in the sun 🌞. The breathing exercises I perform here are concentrated. Cool Breeze due to the Sant Sarovar Dam on the back side. I am in a meditative stage when I am done with my workout in Sarita Udhyan. If you are a flora & fauna lover, this place is for you where you find the chirping squirrels🐿️ & birds🦜🐦‍⬛ and dancing peacocks 🦚.   The greenery all around the park is well maintained through ample trees and shrubs. 🌳🌿🍀☘️ The walking track is superb. The full walk on the track around the garden takes about 10 min at a brisk speed. The 30 min walk here is quite engaging and gives got exercise to them whole body.  The kids - children play area is spacio...

COMMUNICATORS: INFLUENCING PEOPLE

Few year ago, while attending one of the meetings related to the Dialogue on Trade Potential between countries, I head a very senior officer explaining his colleague:  One who has knowledge (on a particular subject), needs a platform or people around him where he can speak out his mind. Else he feels restlessness. We should think of holding this trade dialogue.  I noted down the line in my diary -  One who has knowledge (on a particular subject), needs a platform or people around him where he can speak out his mind.  However, in today's scenario, I would edit the above line I wrote in my diary -  One who thinks he has knowledge (on a particular subject), needs people around him to listen. He should not merely dominate his conversation while speaking out his mind but should learn from people around him too.  Few years ago, I believed that the more you talk, the more you think you’ve learned. But now I believe, learning is a lifelong process. A...

TOLERATE NO NEGATIVITY

Birthday celebrations in our friend circle is Dinner - cum - cake cutting ceremony. 9th March. It's my wife's birthday. In the process of inviting my friends to dinner, I called my friend Ankit to extend the dinner invitation. He was in his office and said will call back in the evening. I told him to make no other plans for the dinner.  In the evening, Ankit called my wife and wished her. He said to her that his wife was having a sore throat, body ache and mild fever and they would not be able to join us in the evening.  I then spoke with Ankit regarding his day-to-day work and routine. Ankit then asked me how my work is going on. I said that sometimes I get frustrated by the way I see people around me and that is happening too frequently. He said " Hey man. You cannot be pessimistic. You have been so optimistic all the while that we have also looked up to you. If you become pessimistic, where would we look up for optimism."  Well, this was not known t...

LIVING LIFE

I tweeted it on 4th March. I think I need to change my mind now as I was reading a book on sales. The strategy I am going to follow now is LIVING LIFE. I was not much interested in knowing what's going on in others life. But I would now like to start natural communication with others. I will ask for help. During my workout in the gym, I usually do not seek help in lifiting weights. I will change this behaviour of myself. Asking for help gets the communication flowing.  I usually do not mention about the gym shoes of the other mates, I would simply ask them where they got their shoes or their gym wear from. They may be wearing a brand of sunglasses you like or driving a car you want to know something about. If you are in a restaurant, you can even admire the dish the person at the table next to you ordered and ask about it. I learnt that more more I am participating in life and taking an interest in other people around me, the more I will meet people. I will be more interested in ot...
